Times are changing faster than time itself. And as a developing country, Dubai has taken this theory too seriously. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai has officially announced the new committee to ease building permits in Dubai. Let us discuss the event and it’s relevance closely.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai gave the news via the media and we are so eager to know what’s in it for us. This is initially a temporary committee regarding the building committee considering the issues arisen before. Let us take a look into what this new committee aims and works for.
The committee will be responsible to list, analyse, revise and develop procedures for providing issuance of building permits services. The secondary duty will be to unify the requirements and conditions for applying for them. Then to eventually reduce service time frames, ease procedures by establishing a single window for the entire service, automate the process and speed it up through smart applications. In short, every branch has been taken care of in this new amendment. Even though the process may sound a little too easy, it needs precision in every stage and the committee promises to keep every step intact.
According to the recent reports, the committee which is now named ’Dubai’s Committee for Building Permit Procedures Development is formed under the chairmanship of the assistant director-general for Engineering and Planning Sector at Dubai Municipality itself. The chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai will be issuing everything related to the legislation required to make sure the amendments happen in the right way. The declaration is legitimate from the date of issuance and will be announced in the Official Gazette later.
The people and the authority are eager to see the results and are waiting for the temporary committee to come out with flying colours so that the new amendments are conceived for the future.
